The Initial Statute of Milan Football & Cricket Club displayed at Casa Milan

he precious statute has been given to AC Milan CEO Marco Fassone and the perpetual captain Franco Baresi

NEWS 16 Dec, 2017

All visitors and supporters of the Club will be able to see it during the Christmas holidays and during the big matches coming up in the following months.

On the occasion of AC Milan's 118th birthday, the initial Statute that establishes the foundation of the club is on exhibition inside the Mondo Milan Museum, where it can be viewed by the visiting public. Discovered by a student in a private collection, the precious document dated January 1900 was auctioned last December and became the property of the Library of Giuseppe La Scala, vice-president of the Small Shareholders of AC Milan.
It was printed in Milan by the "G. Pizzi" industrial press, consists of 13 pages and the cardboard cover is in red. There is the first logo of the Club printed in red and black stripes - horizontal, curiously enough - and the first article describes how the first jersey should be, carrying the symbol of the city of Milan on the chest. The document has been declared a Cultural Asset by the Superintendent of Archival Heritage of the Province of Milan and has been officially given on loan at no cost to the club to be exhibited in the Museum.
The precious statute has been symbolically given by Avv. La Scala to AC Milan CEO Marco Fassone and the perpetual captain Franco Baresi and has been placed in a special case designed to display it inside the Museum. All visitors and supporters of the Club will be able to see it during the Christmas holidays and during the big matches coming up in the following months.
